"Epona" was written in 1992 for an open circle held in honor of Epona held on the beach in Southern Delaware. At the end of the ritual a woman riding a white horse came galloping up the shoreline. She smiled as she rode by as we stood astonished at the gift of her presence.

"Feral Beauty" was written in 1999 after a day of spending time in the woods. I was actually cooking dinner listening to rather loud rock music, when this chant appeared in my head with enough volume to compete with the stereo.

"Earth Spirits" was written early in 1994 during a terrible ice storm at Seelie Court. We were without electricity and running water for 6 1/2 days and as we huddled around the wood stove we wrote this chant to pass the time.

"Herne Who Hears" was written in the Spring of 1998 after a sweat lodge where I felt his presence very powerfully.

"Holy Well And Sacred Flame" was taught to us by Diane Duggan in 1994 as she had learned it at a Reclaiming WitchCamp. I loved it on first hearing and added the additional lines a few days after first learning it. I have asked many friends from Reclaiming about its authorship and none had any clear answers on its origin. If you know, let me know.

"Samhain Revels" was written/received in the October of 1992. I needed to write a chant for the Samhain ritual that was the first ritual that the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel performed as a group of ASW covens. I had a dream in which I participated in a ritual and I heard this chant in the dream.
