About The Chants
1 Salt And Water
Written by Gwendolyn Reece for her curse breaking ritual at the Sacred Space/ Between The Worlds Conference 2015. It is also a fine chant for purification.
2 Panpipe’s Quarter Calls
Written by Ivo Dominguez Jr in the late 1980s for creating sacred space. They were also incorporated into the ASW’s sweat ceremonies in the early 1990s.
3 Return To Life
Written by Ivo Dominguez Jr in March of 2013 with help from Jim Welch for use with an initiation. It was used in the section of the ritual when the seeker symbolically returned to life and was reborn as an initiate.
4 Ba Of Ra
Written by Ivo Dominguez Jr. This chant came to me spontaneously at a third degree initiation a number of years ago. This chant lends itself to many variations and improvisations.
The Ben-Ben is the primordial mound of creation. Weben means to rise shining. The Bennu bird is the Ba of Ra and also is the Egyptian version of the Phoenix. The Ba of Ra is the heart-soul of the Egyptian God Ra.
5 Nephthys Nebet Het
Written by Ivo Dominguez Jr. This chant was written for Helena Domenic’s "Isis and Nephthys: Veiled and Unveiled, Shadow and Light” ritual in 2016
6 Heart In The Balance
Written by Ivo Dominguez Jr in March of 2013 for use with an initiation that involved the weighing of the heart by Anubis.
7 Phoenix Arise
Written by Ivo Dominguez Jr. This chant was written for the opening ritual at the Delmarva Pagan Pride Festival in 2011 conducted by Troupe of the Starry Door.

Written by Ivo Dominguez Jr. This chant was created for the main ritual at the Between The Worlds 2012 conference in Wilmington, DE

10 Morrigan Call
Written by Ivo Dominguez Jr in March of 2012. I was sick for two days and a fever dream left me this chant as a gift. I was also given a strong nudge to write more chants.

13 Bright Sun Dark Death
Words by Starhawk and music by Moonrose of the Reclaiming Tradition. We use this chant every year at our rite for the Stag God Cernunnos. This chant was recorded with Starhawk’s permission. Thank you!
14 Light Of The Stars
This is a chant written by Gwendolyn Reece for the opening ritual of the Sacred Space Conference. The intention is to energetically set the space for an event with a powerful learning component and held under the Aegis of Athena and Thoth. For her, the stars represent highest Spirit and Light is what bridges Spirit and makes it manifest in all the levels of existence, so the state of Illumination or Enlightenment is consciously standing in that grace.
15 I Have The Power
Lyrics: Denise Morris & Nicky LeBlanc. Music: Alice Spencer. This was written by three members of Coven Of The Rowan Star, ASW for the opening ritual of the Delmarva Pagan Pride Festival 2013.

Written by Ivo Dominguez Jr in 1999. This chant has been used in a variety of ways ranging from initiations to interfaith events.

We really don’t know where this chant came from. We have been singing it since the mid 1990s in our group. We have searched and asked but nobody knows its source.
23 From Salt To Sand
Written by Ivo Dominguez Jr in 2015 for use in Annie’s 1st degree in Fellowship of the Ancient White Stag. We have used it to invoke Poseidon several times since then.
24 The River Styx
Written by Ivo Dominguez Jr in 2015.
25 Spirit Boat
Written by Ivo Dominguez Jr in 2003. Was originally created for use with a spirit boat for trance journey. The spirit boat is a technique that is found in many cultures throughout the world.
